Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics and limitations of major theories and to classify the contextual conditions to which the advantages of each theory are well applied. Various approaches have been suggested in the medical tourism field, but there is a lack of attempt to synthesize them and search for new research directions. It is necessary to compare the various theories in the medical tourism industry and to grasp the advantages and limitations of existing theories through a critical perspective. From these results, we can find more improved theories. This study will attempt to provide an eclectic approach to complement the merits and limitations of existing theories.
